Theatre

Pete accompanied Patricia Hartshorne as a pianist and guitarist. Patricia is a solo performer in theatre, cabaret and after-dinner venues and has produced a variety of original shows. Patricia has regularly appeared at the Buxton Fringe Festival, winning the Comedy Award in 2000. Her shows have also toured the UK and appeared in Dublin and California. Patricia writes her own material, but also includes in her repertoire a mix of standard and comic songs, including some in French and German.

Dark Deeds

In 2013, Pete and Patricia performed a new show at the Buxton Fringe, called ‘Dark Deeds’ which had highly recommended reviews.

“Pianist Peter Dobson beautifully opened and closed the show with his medley of themes from the Godfather …
Patricia Hartshorne moved her audience from raucous laughter to stunned silence, mixing horror and injustice
with her uniquely comedic style… Bemused at first, the audience was rapturous by the end”

Martin Wood - BUXTON FRINGE

“Disturbing, perplexing – but oddly thrilling as well … Hartshorne’s commanding and idiosyncratic persona,
an intriguing creation, and Dobson’s unquestionable musical skill, may have taken me to some dark places,
but I’m heartily glad I followed them there”
Richard Stamp - FRINGEGURU
